The Little Red Riding Hood

The Little Red Riding Hood was one of the classic fairytales that I read as a child. I chose the Grimm Brothers' version of the story to work with as Grimms’ tale having a happy ending, unlike Perrault’s, the most important difference between them is symbolised by the pathway through the forest. In the Grimms’ tale, it is made explicit mention by the mother of keeping to the pathway through the forest: ‘when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and do not run off the path.’
